Do not rely on potential water locations being available or drinkable. Carry enough for the full walk.
Starts and ends at Rifugio Auronzo. Motor access uses a paid, advance-booked road; seasonal buses and walking approaches are alternatives. Dogs must stay on lead. Snow and hut closures can affect the route outside late June–September.
